Today, March 8, is a special day for women all over the world. This day does not count age groups or women from different countries. Today we are all one and we hope to support each other every day and be allies in all the struggles we go through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A woman is a mother, a daughter, a worker, a wife, she takes care of the house and those around her. The responsibilities she has every day and the struggle she makes deserve to be recognized. A woman, in addition to her work environment, has to face many more responsibilities of the house and her loved ones. She is always there with a big hug and makes sure that nothing is ever missing from her family even if she is stressed and tired from the routine and obligations of the day. A woman can stand as a father and mother, overflowing with love and warmth, making sacrifices and putting herself second to her loved ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the past 15 years, the day has been a reminder that women should have equal rights with men in all areas. This day began in honor of the struggle that women gave for their labor rights in the United States. More specifically, women working in textile factories in New York began protesting in 1857. They were protesting against the inhumane working conditions, the exhausting working hours, and the meager wages they received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, Women's Day began to be celebrated after 50 years, specifically on March 8, 1909, following an initiative by the Socialist Party of the USA. However, in 1977 it was officially designated as International Day for Women's Rights and International Peace by the United Nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The days that pass by are becoming more and more difficult. Women are no longer the weaker sex. Now we are all protected, even in a difficult situation or any exploitation, strong help and complaint lines have been created. Now we are one. We help each other and support each other. We open our mouths to every evil and create women's support groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
