It is associated with repeated episodes of binge eating (eating large amounts of food in a short period of time without realizing it at the time) followed by an attempt to eliminate all of these calories through self-induced vomiting or the use of laxatives.

Unfortunately, the experiences of the majority of the population contain guilt about entire food groups that lead to oppression to avoid them. This results in the body breaking out and consuming large quantities of these foods, even at times when there is no one else, secretly and guiltyly. Unrestrained food consumption can lead to excessive accumulation of fat in the body and obesity, without this being absolute.

On the other hand, precisely because binge eating episodes are very often accompanied by an attempt to eliminate the food that has been consumed, psychogenic bulimia is also accompanied by anorexia nervosa, making the situation quite complex.

In general, it seems that guilt around food prevents food from fulfilling its role. Food is the only way to nourish our bodies and receive all the necessary nutrients to perform its basic functions and have energy in everyday life. In addition, it is a way to socialize and create memories with loved ones.

It becomes necessary to find the means to deal with all these regrets and to organically protect ourselves in order to avoid binge eating episodes.

The first and most important step is to realize that food is nothing more than a necessary need for every organism and also a key factor in having a good time. There are no foods that are forbidden. In a balanced diet, everything has a place, as long as there is the right proportion and measure.

The next important thing is to be able to recognize and accept the existence of an eating disorder or a disturbed relationship with food so that we can manage it and ultimately overcome it with the right guidance and education.

Finally, we should manage to set up a nutritional plan that includes a variety of flavors and nutrients, is rich and balanced to satisfy the mind and body. This way, there will be no feeling of deprivation and therefore, binge eating will be avoided.

It is not something simple and easy, as psychogenic bulimia arises from stereotypical views about food and body image rooted in everyone's childhood. However, it is something that with nutritional and psychological education is accessible. This way we will be able to enjoy food and not deprive ourselves of flavors and social events. Let's make our relationship with food simpler and freer.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

33

post-3943","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-various
["GET
