Lipometry: What is its importance?

Lipometry: What is its importance?

Body composition analysis (body fat measurement) is a measurement of great interest and is performed in all sessions held in my office.

Body composition analysis is performed with the Tanita MC 780 body fat analyzer, which is a multi-frequency total and segmental body composition analyzer and is one of the leading analyzers with high accuracy and repeatability.

A complete body composition analysis is performed in less than 30'' and is performed using the bioelectrical impedance method for each part of the body, using 3 different frequencies.

With this specific method we measure:

  • Weight
  • Body fat (%, kg)
  • Visceral Fat
  • Lean mass
  • Muscle mass
  • Bone mass
  • Total body fluids
  • Extracellular fluid
  • Intracellular fluid
  • ECW/TBW edema
  • Body Mass Index (BMI)
  • Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) Estimation
  • Metabolic age
  • Physical classification
  • Phase Angle
  • Body fat distribution
  • Muscle mass balance
  • Lower limb muscle performance
  • Segmental analysis for each lower and upper limb and trunk
