Express diets

Express diets – why they don't work

On the occasion of the incident of the famous Kim Kardashian where she lost 7 kilos in 3 weeks in order to fit into the dress she wanted, I would like to emphasize here the importance of a healthy body and not a glamorous image.

Many people resort to express diets. Such a diet excites most people because it promises very fast results, where the person loses 7 kilos in 1 week through the consumption of specific foods, excluding large food groups and significantly reducing the calorie balance.

The result of all this?

  1. Ingestion of the organism
  2. Nutritional deficiency in essential nutrients
  3. Slowing down metabolism
  4. Nutritional and neurological disorders
  5. Memory disorders
  6. Dizziness, fatigue, hair loss, etc.
  7. Inability to concentrate
  8. Loss of muscle mass and body fluids
  9. Digestive disorders
  10. Hormonal disorders, etc.

After all these contraindications and many others, are you sure you prefer a quick loss?

Believing that a quick diet will save us and bring the results we want, we forget a very basic point, our body. Our body is what gives us the ability to stand upright, to function our organs and all the systems of the body. So if we strain it, how will it manage to do its processes correctly? How will it be able to function properly when we do not give it the energy and elements it needs?

But you will tell me that summer is approaching and you still haven't had time to lose your extra pounds. But, not everyone needs to be thin and fit. You don't need to feel disadvantaged by the pounds that have remained this summer. Even if you want to start a diet program today, start with realistic goals that can end up being permanent, don't get disappointed when the scale gets stuck and don't constantly punish yourself even if you didn't do so well today, don't weigh yourself many times during the week and above all, don't neglect your exercise, your consumption of liquids-fruits-vegetables. Give yourself time, trust your specialist Dietitian - Nutritionist, set realistic goals, be patient and slowly change your bad habits. Believe me, the results you will see will slowly excite you both mentally and in your body image!
