What is our organization's response?
The body has the ability to adapt in order to protect itself from external factors by developing a series of mechanisms. This creates free radicals, which are very active molecules in response to a pathological stimulus. As long as they are in normal quantities, they act protectively for the immune system, but when they exceed the "safety limits", they have a detrimental effect. This means that they gradually destroy lipids, proteins and DNA. The body is exposed to a multitude of aggravating factors, it develops excess free radicals and this condition is what we call "oxidative stress".
Oxidative stress is responsible for the destruction of molecules in the body, the lack of which leads to cellular dysfunction, premature aging, chronic diseases and degenerative diseases.
The body develops antioxidant mechanisms to combat this condition, but it is not always able to cope. What we can do to enhance this effort is to consume antioxidants.
Our goal should be to consume antioxidants daily through our diet, however, the body is quite burdened due to daily exposure to oxidizing agents and the anxiety and daily stress we subject ourselves to. In these cases, we must strengthen and protect our body by using antioxidant supplements that contain vitamin and mineral complexes specialized for this purpose.
The body, when oxidative stress is at high levels, usually gives its signals, however, prevention is always the best solution. For this reason, it is important to measure oxidative stress and its antioxidant capacity at regular intervals. This can be done with a very simple test, by taking drops of blood from the finger and centrifuging it in a special machine with specific reagents.
Prevention, special nutrition, and the use of personalized antioxidant supplements when needed provide the solution to oxidative stress and allow free radicals to perform their initial - protective role for our body.
