Golden Detox

Golden Detox
The truth is that every public holiday that falls on a weekend gives us a chance to slow down a little from our daily routine and give ourselves some time. And often the things we love and miss go hand in hand with good food… and lots of food… That doesn't take us away from our healthy lifestyle and our 'healthy' habits! It isn't weekends and holidays that make us gain weight, so there's no need to fear them – afterwards we go back to our programme! Especially if we 'tighten our belts a little' for 2–3 days, everything will come back into ideal balance. That's why I've prepared a 3-day detox with an autumn flavour for you. What do you say? Are you with me?
MEAL OPTIONS
BREAKFAST   1.Golden Milk (1 cup warm almond milk with ½ tbsp honey, a little ginger, ½ tsp turmeric and cinnamon)   2. 1 slice of rye bread with 2 tbsp yoghurt, berries, a little honey and 1 tsp pumpkin seeds 3.Pomegranate tonic drink (1 banana, ½ cup pomegranate seeds, ½ cup orange juice, 1 tsp chia seeds, topped up with ½ cup almond milk [blend in the blender])
DECATURE   1. 10 unsalted almonds 2. Pieces of 1 green apple with cinnamon   3. 30 g dark chocolate
LUNCH   1.Chicken skewers with red and green peppers, aubergines and yoghurt sauce  2. Carrot soup with ginger, 1 sweet potato and cumin   3. Green salad with red lentils , finely chopped Florina pepper and onion, diced green apple, 5–6 cherry tomatoes, sesame, olive oil and lemon
AFTERNOON   1. 1 rice cake dipped in dark chocolate and pomegranate   2. Seasonal fruit with 10 unsalted almonds   3. Green tea with cloves and cinnamon

Whatever happened over the long weekend, we keep in mind that our daily habits are what shape our lifestyle – and at the first opportunity we return to our favourite habits for wellbeing and healthy eating, right?
